Background Brief

Considering the import taxes and labor costs, a lot of international auto manufactures are increasing their purchase in China. The purchasing plan for auto parts in china of Daimler-Chrysler Motor Corporation will increase to 0.84 billion US dollars from current 0.1 billion US dollars. Another example BMW Automobiles also confirmed that they will increase the purchasing plan in China form 0.87 billion dollars 2005 to 2.5 billion dollars 2007. Specialists from Commerce Department predict that exportation of auto parts from China will come to 70-100 billion US dollars till 2010.

There is great potential in China auto parts exportation. Chinese auto parts manufactures become more and more important in the global supplying chain.
